A Fine Louis XVI Style Gilt-Bronze Mounted Ebony & Japanese Laquered Commode, Paris, Circa 1880
with breche violette serpentine molded marble top above three cupboard doors all veneered to the reverse with quarter veneer satine within satinwood stringings, the central door opening to three staine veneered faceted drawers, front and side with lacquer panels decorated with outdoor scenes, some guilt-bronze mounts have been removed to reveal the mark J.P. from the bronze master models, the pull out handles of drawers marked J.P. and numbered 1514 from bronze master models.

A louis XIV Style Ormolu-Mounted Walnut and Kingwood Meuble D'Appui, in the Manner of Andre-Charles Boulle, after Joesph-Emmanuel Zwiener. Circa 1880. Born in Germany in 1849 and moved to Paris around 1880. Produced the very finest bronze mounted furniture. He received a Gold Medal at the Exposition Universelle 1889.
